Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Glenbrook Transition Services, where we proudly support young adults with disabilities (ages 18–22) as they prepare for meaningful, independent lives after high school. At GBT, our focus is on developing skills in education, employment, and daily living through community-based experiences, not traditional school settings, because we believe in learning that reflects the real world.
We currently serve over 65 students who bring many abilities, interests, and goals. Many of our students are already involved in volunteering, vocational training, and competitive employment throughout Glenview and Northbrook. Our dedicated team—comprised of teachers, specialists, therapists, and instructional assistants—works collaboratively to support each student’s unique path to success.
Our downtown Northbrook location offers convenient access to public transportation, businesses, and essential services, providing a rich environment for community integration and independence.
GBT aligns with the District 225 Strategic Plan by:
- Developing and empowering students through personalized, strength-based programming
- Improving culture and climate with inclusive, respectful relationships
- Reimagining the Glenbrook learning experience by prioritizing community engagement and life skills
- Developing leaders—our students, families, and staff—who are equipped for lifelong learning and advocacy
We are proud of our program, our students, and the strong community partnerships that make our work possible. Welcome to GBT!
Sincerely,
Stacey Wolfe, Assistant Director of Special Education
