It is the goal of GBT to prepare students for adulthood by giving them the tools to reach their full potential. Considering lunch options, within a budget, to practice purchasing ingredients and preparing lunches helps students to gain independence. Budgeting for eating out in the community does as well.
Pack a lunch from home
Bring ingredients from home to make lunch at GBT
Purchase groceries during CBI to make lunch at GBT
Purchase food from local establishments
Money for community based instruction (students/case managers will communicate the calendar locations and purpose of trips)
Student ID, State of IL ID, any transportation related ID cards, emergency medical cards/medication if needed.
Chromebook and charger
Students should be prepared to travel outside in all types of weather conditions (e.g. umbrellas, hats/gloves, boots, etc.)
